We are moving right along! It is exciting and scary at the same time! The prospect of a new life is what my daughter and I have longed for, yet at the same time, giving everything up that we have prayed and worked for is very emotional. We are forced to cling to God like that little kitten that I gave to the pet store many years ago. The store owner wanted to keep this particular kitten. She immediately recognized his fear as he hissed at her. She gently picked him up and put him on the front of her sweater. In order not to fall, he had to cling to her sweater with his claws until the fear was gone. This time of bonding was critical to their relationship. The store owner told me it may take all day but at the end of the day, that kitten would trust her and want to be near her. That imagery has never left me.
Anyway, we put our condo on the market and it sold in 10 days for cash! Wow! That was only done by a God that is able to do abundantly above what we can ask or think! No, we didn't get what we thought it was worth, but how can you put a price on sentimental value? This place has been a new beginning and refuge for us, and we are so grateful for it. We hope that the next occupant is as blessed as we have been here.
A huge THANK YOU! to all of you that are giving to the need in Japan! Our hope is to take as many to Heaven with us as possible! My greatest desire is to hear my God say, "Well Done!" Everyone who shares with us in our work in Japan will also share in the blessing! Your sacrifice does not go unnoticed by God or by us!
